Went to this show a few weeks ago but just now getting around to posting these. Definitely not a normal Oppo type show , but maybe some of you will like what I saw.

That ‘56 Nash wagon is a nice find.

the last one, the dually, I thought it was dead!!! Last pic I saw it was covered in dust in a garage. This is lovely to see.
That first pic of the flatbed is all my childhood dreams come true.

That flatbed is by far my favorite

So I will tell ya a little story that you’re not gonna like, but if you’re like me, you’re just glad to see it back regardless. This was the first time that Krew Kut had been shown to the public since it was restored. The paint was (thankfully) left the same as it was way back when, but the interior had to be completely redone along with other things
. The part you may not like is it was restored by none other than Gas Monkey Garage. It was of course
on an episode of the show, given the history of the truck,
about two months ago. At the end of the day, I don’t care that the shop owned by the
man who can’t quit messing with his hair did the resto. I am just
glad they didn’t fuck it up. Seeing it in person was amazing. I remember picking up that copy of Truckin’ Magazine back in 1999 when this truck was first shown and was blown away. I’m glad to see it back.

What is this one?

The one in the main set of pics is a standard four-door:
The same year, Nash was offering a “hardtop”version
in the Cross Country Station Wagon like I replied with - no B-pillar.

I got kinja’d tried posting a pic of the blue sedan two pics above the Nash.

I'm with you on the no post version. I was definitely excited to see this, though. Oddballs that aren't typically considered as a lowrider project are almost always cool.

It’s a ‘6
0 Olds Dynamic 88. Submodel possibly “Celebrity Sedan”.

Really liked that one a lot. The thing on the back has some sort of minigun on it.

I just spent literally 30 minutes trying to figure out which GM car this was...... and forgot all about Oldsmobile. I fail.

The giant flashing “this is a GM product - more specifically a Pontiac, Olds, or Chevy common architecture
” sign was the hook-frame windshield... and since I remembered that Pontiac was ripping off Lincoln for no reason in ‘59(!) and it obviously
wasn’t a Chevy, I pretty much went straight to Olds. Then spent ten minutes (all the time saved)
trying to pin down the badge, because it wasn’t a 98 and it wasn’t a Super 88 of any kind but I was pretty sure it was 88 family - lo and behold, Dynamic 88 used a very different badge.

It’s funny how we notice certain design cues. For me it was the swept back
shape of the front wheel well
. I kept trying to make it something it wasn’t though and gave up as I was running out of time on my lunch break.

I did seem to remember a white interior, but not 100% sure. It’s obvious I don’t watch gas monkey as I got tired of that monkeys, but it is good to see the truck continue on in...relatively, similar fashion.

I gotta say, though - this is a design cue visible from space:

It was indeed white with darker seats. I don’t mind terribly that they went with black instead since the rest of the truck is essentially still the same.

This is true. Makes you wonder what the thought process was on that.
